FORNEY, Texas — The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a driver who struck a Forney man on U.S. Highway 175 on Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:05 p.m., on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a man who had been struck on eastbound U.S. Highway 175 just west of Beltline Road.
“The victim, Mathew McLain, was walking along US 175 on the right shoulder near the exit ramp to Beltline Rd,” stated the sheriff’s department. “He was struck by a black early model Ford F150 that was pulling a flatbed utility trailer with a red passenger car on the trailer.”
“The F150 will have possible damage to the front left bumper, and front left head light,” the department stated.
McLain was transported to a Dallas-area hospital where he underwent surgery for a compound fracture on his leg, according to a family member. He also suffered multiple abrasions to his head, chest, and ribs. McLain was last listed in stable condition, according to the sheriff’s department.
Detectives want to question the driver concerning his or her involvement in this incident.
