FORNEY, Texas — A portion of South Bois d’Arc Street in downtown Forney has reopened after a water main break forced its closure on Wednesday afternoon, according to the City of Forney.
Contractors working on the Trinity Street project struck the line Wednesday afternoon.
South Bois d’Arc Street was closed to through traffic between East Main Street and East Church Street. Additionally, Trinity Street at Bois d’Arc is closed as crews work to unearth the location of the water line break.
“We currently do not have a repair time estimate, but will update residents on the road closure as soon as we are notified,” stated the City of Forney. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Water has been restored to the area, according to the City of Forney.
