A Pepsi delivery truck struck the power lines as it was turning onto the south, eastbound frontage road near La Pradera — causing a nearby utility pole to snap.
Traffic is being diverted onto the recently opened Kings Fort Parkway to the State Highway 34 bypass.
The frontage road is expected to be closed for several hours, according to the Kaufman Police Department.
