FORNEY, Texas — Power has been restored to more than 7,000 homes and businesses in the Forney area after numerous outages were reported on Saturday.
FORNEY, Texas — Power has been restored to more than 7,000 homes and businesses in the Forney area after numerous outages were reported on Saturday.
Oncor representative Cindy Tayem tells inForney.com a wire burned down on a double circuit pole outside of a substation which caused two circuits to lock-out.
“Switching was performed in the field to restore power to all but 8 customers,” stated Tayem. “Those customers were out until final repairs could be completed.”
Outage reports began around 2 p.m. on the north side of Forney which including businesses in the Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 corridor. Outages later spread to areas of south Forney.
The latest outage, which was brief, was reported to portions of south Forney at around 8:30 p.m.
Just after 9 p.m., Tayem told inForney.com all outages were reportedly restored.
