FORNEY, Texas — Construction on a turn lane for a future Raising Cane's in Forney will begin August 20 with overnight construction hours.
The turn lane will be located on southbound Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 in between U.S. Highway 80 and Broad Street.
To minimize the traffic impact, crews will work overnight beginning at 9 p.m. with lanes reopening daily at 6 a.m. Construction is expected to last a week, weather permitting, according to the City of Forney.
Last month, Raising Cane's broke ground on their restaurant which is expected to open in November 2018.
