KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A rock hauler overturned on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 on Monday afternoon prompting temporary closures of FM 148 and a FM 1390 connector road in between Scurry and Crandall.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A rock hauler overturned on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 on Monday afternoon prompting temporary closures of FM 148 and a FM 1390 connector road in between Scurry and Crandall.
The crash was reported at approximately 12:40 p.m. on FM 148 at its northern intersection with FM 1390. A rock hauler left the highway and its trailer overturned — sending its load onto an FM 1390 connector road.
The connector road has been closed due to the spilled load and FM 148 has been temporarily closed due to spilled hydraulic fluid in the roadway.
The tractor became disconnected from the trailer when it overturned. No injuries were reported to its driver.
The Scurry Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash.
Its unknown how long both roads will be closed.
