KAUFMAN, Texas — An 18-wheeler dump truck overturned on the State Highway (SH) 34 bypass in Kaufman on Monday.
The crash occurred on the southbound lane of the SH 34 bypass at South Washington Street, old SH 34.
The 18-wheeler tractor and trailer became detached when the trailer, which was hauling sand at the time of the crash, overturned.
Two heavy-duty wreckers are on scene.
Kaufman Police Department Captain Ed Black says, as of 12:35 p.m., there aren't traffic delays or closures but, as the cleanup process continues, some lane closure may be necessary to allow the heavy-duty wreckers to upright the trailer.
There were no reports of injuries.
Avoid the area if possible.
