KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A head-on collision on the south service road of U.S. Highway 80 near Lawson is causing on-looker delays into Mesquite.
The crash was reported at approximately 4:30 p.m. on the south service road of U.S. Highway 80 just west of Lawson Road.
Two pickup trucks collided head on at the eastbound U.S. Highway 80 entrance ramp in between East Fork Road and Lawson Road just west of the Dallas-Kaufman County line.
The Sunnyvale Fire Department and Dallas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
One person was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas.
A wrecker removed both vehicles at approximately 5:20 p.m. but on-looker delays still persisted in the area into Mesquite near North Belt Line Road.
