KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Kaufman County until 6:30 a.m.
A line of severe thunderstorms is sweeping eastward across north Texas and capable of producing 60 mile per hour wind gusts and nickel sized hail.
“For your protection get inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows,” stated the NWS. “Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning can kill.”
With the scheduled expiration of the warning at 6:30 a.m., Kaufman County will remain under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 a.m.
