KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northern Kaufman County until 7:15 a.m.
The Severe Thunderstorm Warning also applies to Rockwall County, Hunt County, Southeastern Collin County, and Northeastern Dallas County.
At 6:18 a.m., a severe thunderstorm was located in Mesquite, Texas, moving northeast at 60 miles per hour, according to the NWS.
Hazards include ping pong size hail.
“People and animals outdoors will be injured,” stated the NWS. “Expect damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.”
A Wind Advisory has also been issued for all of north Texas on Wednesday from noon until 7 p.m.
Slick road conditions are causing some eastbound U.S. Highway 80 rush-hour delays.
