KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and a Significant Weather Advisory for Kaufman County on Monday due to strong thunderstorms.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and a Significant Weather Advisory for Kaufman County on Monday due to strong thunderstorms.

At 2:52 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Heath, or near Rowlett, moving southeast at 25 miles per hour, according to the NWS.

The advisory is set to expire at 3:45 p.m. with the warning set to expire at 4:45 p.m.

Wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour are possible with this storm, according to the NWS.

Wind may have caused a power pole to snap on the north service road of U.S. Highway 80 near Pinson Road. The Forney Fire Department has been dispatched.
