KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Kaufman County and much of North Texas until 9 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Kaufman County and much of North Texas until 9 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016.
The main threats tonight include large hail, damaging winds, and possible isolated tornadoes, according to the NWS.
“The best potential for severe storms will be north of Interstate 20 through this evening,” stated the NWS. “But, an isolated threat for storms will also exist south of Interstate 20 and along and east of Interstate 35.”
Instances of localized flash flooding may also occur.
Thunderstorm chances will also continue across North Texas Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday, according to the NWS. “Some hail will be possible but severe weather is not expected at this time.”
“Thunderstorms will return Saturday through Sunday,” stated the NWS. “Heavy rain and severe storms may be possible this weekend.”
