KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of North Texas, including Kaufman County, until midnight.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of North Texas, including Kaufman County, until midnight.
"Storms will occur along a cold front this afternoon and into the evening hours," according to the NWS.
"The main hazards will be large hail and damaging winds," stated the NWS. "Heavy rainfall will also be possible and may result in a risk for minor flooding."
"There will be a low risk for a tornado or two east of the McKinney to Corsicana line."
Tomorrow morning, light freezing rain or freezing drizzle may occur potentially causing a few slick spots on elevated or exposed surfaces.
"Wind chills will fall into the teens and twenties across a good portion of North and Central Texas due to the breezy north winds," stated the NWS.
