KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central and North-Central Texas, including Kaufman County, on Tuesday.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central and North-Central Texas, including Kaufman County, on Tuesday.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening.
"Conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing hail up the size of tennis balls, wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH, and frequent lightning," stated the NWS.
"While the tornado threat is low, severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes."
"People in and around the watch area should stay tuned to weather conditions, and be prepared to act should a warning be issued for their location," stated the NWS.
