KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a significant weather advisory for Kaufman County on Sunday night.
“At 10:09 p.m., Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Rockwall to near Ferris to near Hillsboro,” according to the NWS.
The storm was moving southeast at 30 miles per hour.
Wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour are possible with these storms and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring.
“Seek a safe shelter inside a building or a vehicle,” stated the NWS.
