VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas — The search continues Friday for a missing Van Zandt County man with the issuance of a Silver Alert earlier today.
The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office reports 72-year-old Thomas Lee Richardson went missing from his residence in the 200 block of Private Road 7925 just outside of Edgewood, Texas.
According to a Silver Alert issued on Friday, Richardson was last seen at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2017, on foot with four small dogs.
“Law enforcement officials believe this senior citizen’s disappearance poses a credible threat to his own health and safety,” stated the Silver Alert.
Richardson is diagnosed with cognitive impairment, stated the alert.
He is described as approximately 5-foot, 8-inches tall, 135 pounds, gray hair, blue eyes, long gray beard, and last seen wearing a camo jacket, blue and black plaid shirt and black pants.
