KAUFMAN, Texas — The right lane of eastbound U.S. Highway 175 is closed due to a single-vehicle crash near the State Highway 243 spur.
The crash was reported at approximately 6:30 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 175 just before the SH 243 exit entering Kaufman. A van was traveling eastbound when it struck the center median and veered across the highway before coming to a stop in the right lane.
No apparent injuries were immediately reported.
The right lane of eastbound U.S. Highway 175 is currently closed near the U.S. Highway 175 onramp at the turn-around bridge just west of town. The onramp is also closed. Minor traffic delays are present.
The Kaufman Fire Department, Kaufman Police Department, CareFlite, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Kaufman County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office responded to the crash.
