The railroad crossings at South Bois D' Arc Street, Elm Street, Center Street, and South Chestnut Street are blocked by the train which, according to the Forney Police Department, is experience mechanical issues.

The railroad crossing at Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 and Gateway Boulevard overpass remain open.

"At this time we're not sure how long of a delay it will create, but buses may have to be re-routed," read a statement from the Forney Independent School District. "We wanted to let parents know there could be a delay in afternoon bus transportation."

"If you are driving to pick-up your student from school, staff will remain with students at campus until you're able to detour around the train and arrive," stated the district.
