FORNEY, Texas — A suspected drunk driver was arrested after striking a mailbox and overturning the vehicle she was allegedly driving on Monday night.
FORNEY, Texas — A suspected drunk driver was arrested after striking a mailbox and overturning the vehicle she was allegedly driving on Monday night.
At approximately 11:15 p.m., the Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, and CareFlite responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on South Chestnut Street in between East Church Street and Stanford Street.
The vehicle struck a mailbox and flipped onto its side.
Neighbors who heard the crash, some who were awaken, rushed outside to assist the driver and another passenger of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle underwent a field sobriety test before being taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Her identity has not been released pending arraignment.
No injuries were reported in the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
