According to the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, a non-profit based out of Pennsylvania, there are more than 356,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCA) annually in the United States, and 90% of those are fatal. The foundation further states that in 2020, 73.9% of OHCAs were in a home or residence, followed by 15.1% in public settings.
The Terrell Fire Department offers this free class to teach community members how to save lives when the seconds matter. The training will be at the Terrell Fire Department Training office at 150 9th Street in Terrell.
