TERRELL, Texas — A Terrell home was damaged in a fire on Wednesday morning.
Just before 7 a.m., the Terrell Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Leighton Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy fire coming from the back of the residence.
Mutual aid was requested from the Forney Fire Department and the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department.
According to Terrell Fire Department Fire Marshal Tom Cooper, the fire damaged the kitchen area and attic.
Cooper says, although the cause of the fire is under investigation, it does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
There were no reported injuries.
