FORNEY, Texas (Forney High School Student Council, Advisor Phillip Jenkins) — Souper Bowl of Caring changes the game. Since 1990, young people have been leading the charge and inspiring others to collect dollars and food weeks leading up to the Big Game.
Teaming up with local partners, these groups give 100% of donations to local charities, changing the nation's largest weekend of football into the largest weekend of caring.
Souper Bowl of Caring uses the energy of the Super Bowl to mobilize youth in a united national effort to care for people in their local communities who are hungry and those in need. The Forney High School Student Council rose to the challenge and collected cans amongst themselves exhibiting leadership and community service.
The Forney High School Student Council donated 233 cans of food to The Forney Food Pantry as a part of Souper Bowl of Caring.
These students are young people who have the ability to serve and are taking the opportunities to lead their communities in helping others, and this is something we can all be proud of.
