ORIGINAL [Jan. 24] — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is investigating allegations of hazing on the Forney High School's boys soccer team.

According to Kaufman County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Jolie Stewart, the investigation remains ongoing.

Investigators are working to determine how long the hazing has been taking place as well as identifying the actors, who are students ranging in age from juveniles to adults.

In the event criminal charges are filed, juveniles will be referred to the juvenile court system and the adults will be criminally charged, according to Stewart.

"We have been in contact with the Kaufman County Sheriff's Department and we will continue to provide information and support on any situations where they may need our assistance," said Larry Coker, Director of Communications at Forney ISD, in a written statement to InForney.com.

Students and campus employees confirmed that Sheriff's department deputies were on site at Forney High School Wednesday.

Reports that soccer practice had been canceled are inaccurate according to Coker.

This is a developing story.
