FORNEY, Texas — A toddler was transported to a Dallas-area hospital after a near-drowning incident on Friday.

Just after 4 p.m., the Forney Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and CareFlite responded to a home in the 10000 block of Dublin Drive West in the Shamrock Ridge neighborhood for a toddler who had reportedly fell in the pool in a near-drowning incident.

The toddler was 18-months old, according to Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jolie Stewart.

The toddler was rushed to Baylor, Scott & White in Forney, Texas, and was later airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital by a CareFlite medical helicopter.

No further details were available.
