FORNEY, Texas — On Wednesday, February 21st, a transformer will once again make its way through Forney. The City does not have a specific time of arrival, but they say it will be in the afternoon.
Last fall, a transformer made its way through town, and as a result, traffic was backed up during morning rush hour. On Tuesday, the City of Forney posted the route the transformer will take on social media.
“The planned route takes it westbound on Hwy 80, onto Pinson Road (FM 740), then Clements Drive (FM 460), before returning to 80 westbound towards the Town of Sunnyvale.”
If you are in the area or it is your afternoon route, be prepared for delays. It’s encouraged to plan for extra time or find an alternative route.
