FORNEY, Texas — Two people were extricated from their truck after it overturned on U.S. Highway 80 on Saturday afternoon in Forney.
The wreck was reported at approximately 1:55 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 near the Pinson Road overpass. A truck traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 80 struck the overpass pillar guardrail on the shoulder of the highway and overturned — entrapping the vehicle’s two occupants.
Firefighters with the Forney Fire Department cut the truck’s roof off to extricate the two individuals who were later transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas, in unknown condition.
The south service road of U.S. Highway 80 was closed in the area while emergency personnel were on scene.
The vehicle was totaled in the crash and towed from the scene.
The Forney Police Department is investigating the crash.
