FORNEY, Texas — Two people were injured Sunday morning after a stalled vehicle was struck on U.S. Highway 80 in Forney.
At approximately 8:43 a.m., the Forney Police Department, Forney Fire Department, and CareFlite responded to the crash on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 just east of Gateway Boulevard.
According to police, a car was stalled in the fast lane on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 when it was struck at-speed by an SUV.
The female driver of the stalled vehicle was thrown over the cable median and transported to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, with unknown injuries.
Another individual was also transported to Baylor with unknown injuries.
The crash forced the closure of the highway and traffic was diverted onto the south service road.
