FORNEY, Texas — Weather dependent, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be switching traffic onto the newly construction south frontage road on December 13, 2017, in between Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 and Pinson Road.
FORNEY, Texas — Weather dependent, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will be switching traffic onto the newly construction south frontage road on December 13, 2017, in between Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 and Pinson Road.
With the switch, TxDOT will also close the south frontage road and Broad Street intersection for approximately two weeks to tie in the new inersection.
"Eastbound traffic will be detoured from Broad Street to FM 740 to Pinson Road," according to TxDOT. "Westbound traffic will be detoured from Broad Street to Pinson Road to FM 740 to Clements Drive."
This work is part of a construction project to relocate the entrance and exit ramps on U.S. Highway 80 between FM 460 and Pinson Road.
The $5 million construction project was awarded to Ed Bell Construction Company.
