As Lloyd Potter of the Texas Demographic Center highlighted in an interview with KERA, there's a discernible trend. More and more people, particularly those focused on family formation, are opting for larger house spaces. This preference is a key factor driving them towards the suburbs of metropolitan areas, a trend that is clearly reflected in Forney's growth.

In the top fifteen list, several North Texas cities make the list, with Celina ranking first, Princeton number three, Anna number four, Prosper at number nine, and Forney ranking right at number 10. Forney grew by 10.4% between July 1, 2022 and July 1, 2023.

Potter at the Texas Demographic Center also told KERA that Texas is growing at about 1,300 people per day and isn’t expected to slow anytime soon.

Growth brings its own challenges, and one of the most pressing for Kaufman County is infrastructure. Kaufman County Judge Jakie Allen has previously emphasized to inForney.com that the County is actively collaborating with the state and local governments to address this issue. The aim is to ensure that the County can effectively meet the demands that accompany its record-setting growth.
