KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The bodies of two fishermen who went overboard when their canoe capsized Saturday morning on Cedar Creek Reservoir were recovered on Sunday, according to authorities.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The bodies of two fishermen who went overboard when their canoe capsized Saturday morning on Cedar Creek Reservoir were recovered on Sunday, according to authorities.
Early Saturday morning., a canoe carrying three fishermen capsized on the northern end of the lake in Kaufman County. One fisherman was able to swim to shore and call for help.
Game Wardens were on the lake searching for two of the fisherman using side-scan sonar, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department spokesperson Steve Lightfoot.
The bodies of the two fishermen were recovered Sunday morning, according to the Texas Game Warden on Twitter.
