VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas — Van Zandt County Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator Chuck Allen recently accepted a position with the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office in Austin, Texas.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY, Texas — Van Zandt County Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator Chuck Allen recently accepted a position with the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office in Austin, Texas.
After a decade of serving Van Zandt County, Allen’s last day with the county will be this Friday, according to Allen on Facebook.
“Ten years ago, I was afforded the opportunity to become the County Fire Marshal/Emergency Management Coordinator,” stated Allen. “I did not take the task lightly and began an aggressive approach to making things better in this great County in which we live in.”
“Over the past 10 years, I have been involved in multiple large scale and complex emergency responses/drills in Van Zandt County and the East Texas region,” stated Allen. “I have observed deaths, injuries, and destruction as a result of natural, man-made, or human error disasters. During these responses, drills, and trainings, I have met a lot of great people in this County. It has been a pleasure and honor to serve the citizens of Van Zandt County.”
“It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Van Zandt County and look forward to representing Van Zandt County in my career with the State of Texas,” stated Allen.
