TERRELL, Texas — A vehicle overturned on U.S. Highway 80 on Friday night and came to rest in a bridge culvert on the highway’s shoulder.
At approximately 9:45 p.m., the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, Terrell Fire Department, Terrell Police Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to westbound U.S. Highway 80 just east of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1392.
The vehicle was traveling on the highway, veered off the shoulder, overturned down a creek embankment, and into a bridge culvert where it came to rest in its upright position.
The driver of the vehicle was reportedly driven from the scene, possibly to a nearby hospital, by another passerby. Its unknown if there were any injuries.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
