TERRELL, Texas — Westbound Interstate 20 is closed due to a rollover crash in which a person was ejected and later airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital.
The crash was reported at approximately 8:15 p.m. on westbound Interstate 20 approximately a mile east of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641.
A pickup truck traveling westbound overturned and its driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Police say the man suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was conscious upon transport.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash and utilized a DPS helicopter for aerial photography of the crash scene.
As of 9:02 p.m., westbound Interstate 20 remained closed.
The Forney Fire Department, Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, CareFlite, Talty Police Department, and the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.
