KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A Wills Point man was killed in a rollover crash on Wednesday morning in Kaufman County, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Staff Sergeant Kyle Bradford.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:48 a.m. on Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 near County Road 338 in the Ables Springs area of northern Kaufman County.
77-year-old Vincent Murphy, of Wills Point, Texas, was traveling southbound on FM 429 when, for yet to be determined reasons, veered off the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned, Bradford told inForney.com.
Murphy was pronounced deceased at the scene, he said.
The Ables Springs Volunteer Fire Department, CareFlite, Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash.
