KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Wind Advisory for Kaufman County, and several surrounding counties, until midnight Tuesday.
At 2:06 p.m., the peak winds in the past 24 hours at Terrell Municipal Airport were at 38 miles per hour and 35 miles per hour at the Mesquite Metro Airport, according to the NWS.
“With the windy conditions, remember to secure lightweight outdoor items such as patio furniture and trash cans,” stated the NWS. “In addition, high-profile vehicles traveling on east-west oriented highways/interstates, as well as boaters on open waters should use extreme caution this afternoon and evening.”
Counties to the west are experiencing elevated fire danger behind a surface dryline.
