FORNEY, Texas — A woman was critically injured after being struck by a pickup truck on Broad Street in Forney on Thursday morning.
Around 6:07 a.m. the female was crossing Broad Street on foot, around McGraw Street, when she was struck by an F-250 pickup truck, according to police.
The driver of the pickup truck stopped, is cooperating with police, and is not expected to face any charges.
A CareFlite helicopter was requested to the scene but, due to weather concerns, the woman was taken by ground ambulance to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Her current condition is unknown.
