Forney Lady Jackrabbits Softball team prepares for Class 4A State Softball Tournament
Red Oak, TX – The sun was shining and the wind had calmed when the Forney Lady Jackrabbits and the Ennis Lady Lions met on the softball field in Red Oak on Saturday, May 26, 2012. With the 3 game series tied 1-1, the winner of Game 3 would be traveling to Austin for the Class 4A State Softball Tournament. The stands were once again filled to capacity an hour before game time as anxious parents and fans watched the two teams warm up.

Fans were packing the stands an hour early to see Game 2 of the Regional Softball Playoffs between the Forney Lady Jackrabbits and the Ennis Lady Lions. The Lady Jackrabbits had an amazing comeback win in Thursday night's game and were ready to set the pace in the 1st inning.

A great group of Forney youngsters won the Quickfoot Soccer Tournament in Coppell on May 19, 2012. The Forney F.C. Galacticos 6-U Boys team represented the Forney Soccer Association extremely well throughout their season, and they topped it off with an impressive run of 3 wins and 1 tie in the tournament, including a 3-1 victory over the Coppell team.

On Saturday May 19th, The Pride 7 on 7 football team qualified for the state championship tournament to be held on July 7th 2012 in College Station, Texas. This is an exceptional feat for this group of young men since it was their first 7 on 7 tournament ever.

Forney High School Lady Jackrabbits Softball advance to Region II 4A Regional Playoff
The Forney High School Lady Jackrabbits beat the Rockwall High School Lady Yellowjackets 2-0 in a 3 game series. With these wins the Lady Jackrabbits have clinched the Semi-Final game and are now advancing to the Region II 4A Regional Playoff game. The Lady Jackrabbits won at home 8-1 on Thursday night and 8-2 at Rockwall High School on Friday night.

The Shamrock Basketball Association (SBA) started in 2003 as a driveway basketball league in the Shamrock Ridge subdivision in Forney between high school friends. Forney High School Lady Jackrabbits Softball advances in playoffs after beating the Elgin High School Lady Wildcats in the first two games of a three game series. The two teams met in Waco for the Regional Quarter Finals. Both games were played on Saturday, May 11th. The first game ended with the Lady Jackrabbits scoring 10 to the Lady Wildcats 5, then our Lady Jackrabbits sealed the deal in the second game with a score of 7-6.
