The Unity Bowl: Forney's friendly football rivalry to kick off with parade and fundraising
The Forney Jackrabbits football team will take on the North Forney Falcons on Friday, October 26, 2012 at City Bank Stadium in what is officially been dubbed the “Unity Bowl.” In February, UIL announced the North Forney Falcons would be making the switch to 4A and aligning these two teams in the same division and conference, making this the first time they will play each other. A parade will be held in downtown Forney on October 20th to celebrate the friendly rivalry and the impending football game.

FHS and NFHS Swim Teams will hold tryouts at Rockwall YMCA
Forney High School and North Forney High School will be holding tryouts Tuesday, August 28 through Thursday, August 30. The tryouts will be from 4:45 p.m. until 6 p.m. each night at the Rockwall YMCA located at 1210 North Goliad, Rockwall, Texas 75087.

An occasional breeze gave the hundreds of spectators a break from the sweltering 107 degree heat at the 10U IFA/VTD Gulf Regional World Series Tournament in Forney, Texas. Forney's MESA (Metro East Softball Association) played host to the hundreds of out-of-town guests that came to cheer on the 30 teams from all over Texas and the Gulf Region, some from as far away as El Paso.

Forney's Pride Football Club wins 2012 PrimeTime Sports Tournament of Champions
College Station, Tx - The Pride Football Club 12U 7 on 7 football team competed in the 2012 PrimeTime Sports Tournament of Champions over the weekend in College Station, Tx, July 7th and 8th. Sixteen championship teams from Texas and Louisiana met at Veterans Field in College Station for pool and tournament play.

2012 Forney Youth Baseball Association's Spring Season is coming to an end
Last night Thursday, June 14 2012, wrapped up the end of the 2012 Forney Youth Baseball Association's (FYBA) Spring Season. The League Champions of each division were awarded individual player trophies and coaches trophies in a first ever end of season trophy presentation ceremony. Second place teams were also awarded individual player trophies.

Red Oak, TX – The sun was shining and the wind had calmed when the Forney Lady Jackrabbits and the Ennis Lady Lions met on the softball field in Red Oak on Saturday, May 26, 2012. With the 3 game series tied 1-1, the winner of Game 3 would be traveling to Austin for the Class 4A State Softball Tournament.
