The IFA/VTD Gulf Regional 10U World Series is being hosted by MESA Softball next weekend, July 26-29, 2012 at the Forney Community Park Softball Complex. Last year Forney played host to the 16U Softball World Series.
The IFA/VTD Gulf Regional 10U World Series is being hosted by MESA Softball next weekend, July 26-29, 2012 at the Forney Community Park Softball Complex. Last year Forney played host to the 16U Softball World Series.
30 teams from all over the state will be coming to Forney to compete in high caliber girls softball play. The games will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday thru Sunday and will go all day long and into the evening hours. The Thursday and Friday games will be primarily pool games, with bracket rounds starting at 5 p.m. on Friday.
There will be gate fees at the Softball Complex for the 10U World Series because this is a national event. The fees are set by VTD and not by MESA.
Daily pass - $10
Weekend pass - $20 (Ages 8-18 and Seniors 50 years or older pay only $15 for a weekend pass.)
Under 8 – free
The Softball Complex at Forney Community Park is known as having some of the best playing fields in the state. The park itself has impressed the many tournament teams that have played there and it has led to MESA being chosen to host two World Series in a row. You can expect the Forney roads to be a bit busier during the tournament weekend as we welcome our out of town guests.
