PECOS - A Union Pacific train derailed in the west Texas town of Pecos on Wednesday, leaving two dead and several injured.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
A video of the incident shows a tractor-trailer stopped on the tracks as the train approached. The train hit the tractor-trailer, derailed, hit a building, left two dead and three injured.
At a news conference, the Pecos City Manager said three train cars carried hazardous material, but none leaked, and there was no threat to the public.
The National Transportation Safety Board has sent a team to investigate.
