HEB announces expansion with new stores in Rockwall, Melissa, and Prosper

ROCKWALL, Texas — Following the recent opening of its Allen, Texas, store, supermarket chain HEB has unveiled plans for a new location in Rockwall, as well as additional stores in Melissa and Prosper.

The Texas-based grocer is set to officially open its Allen store at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4. As part of HEB's continued expansion into the DFW Metroplex, the company has also announced plans for stores in Melissa, Prosper, and Rockwall. The new stores are expected to open in 2025.

The 117,000 square-foot Allen store will feature a full-service H-E-B Pharmacy with a drive-thru, Curbside and Home Delivery service, an H-E-B Wellness Primary Care clinic, and a True Texas BBQ restaurant.

The locations of the upcoming stores in Melissa, Prosper, and Rockwall will be at the Northeast Corner US 75 and Highway 121, Southeast corner Frontier Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway, and Southwest corner John King Boulevard and I30, respectively.

More details about the new stores will be released at their respective groundbreakings early next year. HEB has already established a presence in the DFW area with stores in Frisco, Plano, and McKinney. Other officially announced stores for the Metroplex include locations in Alliance and Mansfield.

Earlier this year, HEB also announced plans to open two Joe Vs Smart Shop by H-E-B stores in Dallas. The Wheatland store is expected to open in late summer 2024 and the Buckner store will open in spring 2025. Joe Vs Smart Shop by H-E-B offers a curated assortment of community-focused products and high-quality, fresh products at lower prices.
