New Hospitality Options in Terrell

In addition to industrial growth, Terrell is also planning for new hospitality options with a Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the Crossroads Center development. This proposed hotel will feature 87 guest rooms, providing a fresh lodging option for travelers near the burgeoning retail and commercial hub.

The Planning and Zoning Commission has already conducted a public hearing and voted to recommend approval of a Specific Use Permit for the hotel, a crucial step in the development process. The proposal will now head to the Terrell City Council for final consideration.

If approved, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites will not only support economic growth but also enhance the visitor experience with modern accommodations and amenities.

Layne’s Chicken on the Horizon for Forney

Forney is also set to welcome Layne’s Chicken, which is in the works to open in the far south section of the AMC parking lot along FM 548. This addition will further enrich the dining scene in Forney, providing families with additional meal options.

As Kaufman County continues to grow, these developments will play a critical role in shaping the community, offering new job opportunities, dining, and lodging options while enhancing the quality of life for residents. With the population of Forney having surged from 15,000 to over 35,000 in the last decade, the influx of new businesses is a promising sign of the city’s ongoing transformation.
