At approximately 1:30 p.m., the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Legg Drive on a report of an accidental shooting, department spokesperson Jolie Stewart told inForney.com.
Legg Drive is located in the Cedar Creek Country Club in between Kemp and Mabank on the shores of Cedar Creek Reservoir.
Thursday afternoon, deputies remained on scene where the residence was cordoned off with police tape.
