TERRELL - 69-year-old Wendell Lancaster of Terrell has been arrested and charged with murdering 40-year-old Breanna Mendosa.
At 11:38 p.m. on April 10th, Terrell Police received and responded to a 9-1-1 call referencing a shooting at 901 S. Catherine Street. Police found Mendosa with apparent gunshot wounds. CareFlite was called, and life-saving measures were started on Mendosa. Despite best efforts, Mendosa succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at Baylor Scott and White in Forney.
According to the press release by the Terrell Police Department, Lancaster gave a full confession and stated that he shot Mendosa for stealing his wallet.
