Authorities make second arrest for threats against Kaufman County officials in wake of murders
The Texas Rangers arrested Robert Allan Miller, 52, of Terrell, Texas, on April 4, 2013, for making terroristic threats against another assistant district attorney in Kaufman County. The arrest makes the second arrest this week for individuals making threats against county officials since the murders of Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia McLelland on March 31, 2013.

Terrell man arrested for using Crime Stoppers line to threaten county official
Nick Morale, 56, of Terrell, Texas, was arrested on April 2, 2013 on charges of making a terrorist threat against a public official. According to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, Morale called the Kaufman County Crime Stoppers tip line on April 1, at 1:43 p.m. and threatened that an unidentified county official would be the “next victim”. The call came just two days after Kaufman County D.A. Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia were shot and killed inside their Forney home.

The Forney Police Department needs the community's assistance with a vehicle burglary problem occurring in the parking lots of the Starplex movie theater, Wal-Mart, and Lowe's near FM 548 and Highway 80. Vehicle burglaries are on the rise in that area and officers would like to catch the individual or individuals responsible.

The reward offered by the Kaufman County Crime Stoppers has now grown to over $100,000 to information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Mark Hasse murder case. Hasse was murdered January 31,2013, as he walked to the Kaufman County Courthouse.

The Terrell Police Department is investigating a burglary at the Texas Army National Guard Armory in Terrell, Texas, located at 1316 West Moore Avenue. Personnel at the armory reported the break-in to the Terrell Police department and reported a stolen military Humvee.
