FORNEY - Forney ISD and the Forney Education Foundation announce the grand opening of “Assembly Required” on September 30th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This state-of-the-art makerspace is designed to “inspire creativity and innovation.”
Assembly Required is located on the second floor of the OC on the east side of the building. Attendees can engage in free activities, including pumpkin rock painting, creating t-shirts and candy bags, and 3D printing.
According to a district release, Assembly Required will have 3D printers, laser and vinyl cutters, heat presses, electronics, and more.
The Forney Education Foundation is funding the space, which will be available to rent. It is billed as versatile and perfect for hosting classes, meetings, and “bringing any creative vision to life.”
