CRANDALL, Texas — Dr. Robert Jolly has "resigned" effective immediately from his position as Superintendent of Crandall ISD district officials confirmed today.
The resignation does not become official until approved by the school board which is scheduled to meet during a special meeting called for tonight at 5:30 PM at the L.F. Raynes Education Center. Until then, the district has declined to release a copy of Jolly’s resignation letter to inForney.com that was reportedly submitted on Friday.
“After seven years with Crandall ISD, Dr. Jolly has decided it is time to begin retirement,” says Erin McCann, the district’s director of public relations.
The agenda for tonight’s meeting also includes a closed meeting of the board for “attorney consultation regarding legal issues related to Superintendent search process.”
Crandall ISD serves more than 4,350 students, approximately 500 employees, and includes seven campuses that serve seven communities over 100 square miles according to the district’s website.
This is a developing story.
