FORNEY, Texas — The Forney High School marching band took home top awards from their performance at the 24th annual Mesquite Marching Festival last Saturday.
Of 31 schools competing, Forney High School swept all captions in Class 5A and was awarded Outstanding Band of the Day in all classes. The awards include:
Outstanding Winds in 5A
Outstanding Percussion in 5A
Outstanding Guard in 5A
Outstanding Visual Effect in 5A
Best in Class 5A
Outstanding Band of the Day
The Forney High School and North Forney High School bands will next compete in the Desoto Marching Classic Competition on Saturday, October 10, 2015.
