FORNEY, Texas — Forney High School will kick off their Homecoming Week festivities with a community pep rally tonight at the Mick Spellman Amphitheater at 7 p.m.
FORNEY, Texas — Forney High School will kick off their Homecoming Week festivities with a community pep rally tonight at the Mick Spellman Amphitheater at 7 p.m.
This week’s homecoming represents 120 years of Jackrabbit Pride, according to Student Council Advisor Phillip Jenkins. This year’s theme is “Back in Time.”
This week’s festivities include dress-up theme days, the annual Highsteppers Homecoming Tailgate, crowning of the Homecoming royalty, the Homecoming football matchup between the Jackrabbits and Royse City on Friday night, and the Homecoming Parade on Saturday morning.
Friday’s Homecoming Pep Rally will be held in the Forney High School gymnasium at 1:25 p.m. The Annual Forney Highsteppers Homecoming Tailgate will kick-off at 5 p.m. in the parking lot near City Bank Stadium, and the crowning of the Homecoming royalty will be held around 6:45 p.m. prior to the start of the homecoming football game.
The Jackrabbits matchup against Royse City is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kick-off at City Bank Stadium.
The parade is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The parade’s route will begin at Jackrabbit Stadium, travel north on Bois D’Arc, will travel through downtown and southeast on Main Street, and end at Holly Leaf Trail.
The Homecoming Dance is scheduled for 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday night at the Forney High School cafeteria.
