FORNEY, Texas (Forney Independent School District) – The Forney ISD Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) recently received an inspection from the Head Quarters AFJROTC organization and earned an Exceeds Standards rating, the highest rating an AFJROTC program can receive.
FORNEY, Texas (Forney Independent School District) – The Forney ISD Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) recently received an inspection from the Head Quarters AFJROTC organization and earned an Exceeds Standards rating, the highest rating an AFJROTC program can receive.
The AFJROTC Head Quarters inspection takes place every three years. The inspection includes 39 specifics in seven sections including compliance (instructions/school agreement), instructor performance, equipment management, curriculum, cadet operations, unit operations and special interest items.
There are four levels an AFJROTC program can receive through the inspection: Exceeds Standards, Meets Standards, Meets Standards with Discrepancies and Does not Meet Standards. Forney ISD’s AFJROTC program earned the highest rating possible, Exceeds Standards.
“We are thrilled to receive the highest rating possible from the inspection this year,” said Lt. Col Phlecia Geary, the Forney ISD AFJROTC program’s lead instructor. “Our cadets work hard every day to create a successful and well managed AFJROTC program and this rating confirms that they have done a phenomenal job in building and maintaining the program here in Forney ISD. But this program would not be a success without the support of the staff, administrators and Board of Trustees of Forney ISD. Their continued dedication and support to make the Forney ISD AFJROTC program a success is unparalleled and is to be commended.”
